Scope and contact

This policy describes information used to operate tangramgame at tangramgame.online. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@tangramgame.online.

Information you provide

• Accounts: email address, display name, optional profile image and account settings. Password sign-in stores a password hash, not a readable password.
• Google sign-in: if you choose it, your Google identifier and basic name, email and profile-image information. Sign-in does not request access to Gmail messages or Google Drive files.
• Purchases: account identifier, order reference, product and file version, amount, currency, payment status, provider transaction references and related refund or dispute information.
• Support: contact details, messages, order references and attachments you choose to send through tickets or email. Support email may be routed to the support team's mailbox.

Stripe collects and processes details entered on its checkout page. tangramgame does not receive or store your full payment-card number or security code. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for its handling of payment information.

Browser-local game records

Casual puzzle boards, times, hints, streaks and theme preferences are stored in your browser's local storage. You can clear them through your browser's site-data controls, which can remove saved progress.

If you sign in and choose ranked play, we associate your attempt and best valid time with your account for that daily puzzle. We check your piece placements when you submit a result. The public leaderboard displays a daily alias, rank and time.

Essential storage and technical information

We use essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in sessions, security, language and appearance preferences. Requests and sessions can include IP address, user-agent or browser information, request time, approximate country and language. When supplied, referral and campaign parameters may be associated with registration. These help operate the site, investigate failures, limit abuse and understand how accounts reached the website.

Optional analytics

If you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits to our public puzzle and card pages. It receives page views, browser and device information, approximate location, and the referring website. We remove query strings and fragments from the reported page address. Analytics excludes sign-in, account, checkout and private download pages. Advertising personalization is disabled.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to sign you in, associate purchases with the correct account, confirm payments, provide private downloads, handle refunds or disputes, answer support, send requested account-recovery messages and protect the service. Optional download emails do not determine a paid account's access to its files.

Service providers support hosting, database and file storage, email and payments. These include Cloudflare for website infrastructure, Stripe for payments, Google when you choose its sign-in, and providers delivering account and support email. Providers receive information needed for their role, and may process it in countries other than yours.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when needed to meet applicable obligations, handle payment disputes, protect the service and its users or respond to a valid legal request.

Retention and security

We retain information as needed to operate accounts, fulfill purchases, support users, prevent abuse and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Transaction or security records may need to remain after an account request is resolved. Browser-local progress remains until cleared or replaced in that browser.

We use access controls and other safeguards appropriate to the service, but no online storage or transmission is guaranteed completely secure. Keep passwords private and do not send passwords or full card details in support messages.

Your choices and requests

You can update profile fields available in your account, sign out, manage browser cookies and local storage, and choose whether to use Google sign-in. You can review or revoke this site's Google access in your Google account.

For access to, correction of or deletion of account information, email hello@tangramgame.online. We may verify that the request comes from the account owner. Information needed for purchases, disputes, security or applicable obligations may be retained; we will explain relevant limitations when responding. There is currently no self-service button to export all account data or delete an account.

Children and updates

Free puzzles can be played without an account. Children should use activities with adult guidance; purchase accounts and payments should be managed by an adult or authorized purchaser. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately so we can review and address it.
